Our centre aims to provide a warm caring environment in which children are encouraged to interact and respect the needs of other children and adults.
We give the children an opportunity to experience a wide range of open activities where they develop both gross and fine motor skills.

The children's physical, emotional and cognitive development are catered for by the centre's daily program.

We feel that each child comes to us as a unique individual accordingly their special needs are catered for. We foster their self esteem, independence and enhance their learning by offering individuals daily challenges.

Hawthorn Child Care Centre is accredited through the National Childcare Accreditation Council.

Kindy
Children start Kindy at the age of three years nine months . If you would like your child to attend Kindy, we offer the service of taking the children to and from Kindy. We also have our own Kindy program available.

Special Services
Special services are available through the Children's Services Office in the areas of special needs - psychology, speech therapy and social work. These services support parents and their children and give guidance to the staff in the centre. The centre is able to have all information translated to assist parents if required.

Kindy Drop Off
We offer kindy drop off and pick up to and from Netherby and Mitcham Kindergartens.

Nutritionally Cooked Meals and Nappy Service

The centre is Accredited in the Eat Right Start Right Food program.
